While it is true that e-cigarettes do not contain the over 4,000 chemical compounds created by a burning cigarette, the following should be considered.

CAUTION: This product contains Nicotine, a substance known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Not recommended for use in pregnant or nursing mothers. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Nicotine is toxic and addictive. If vaporizer is used improperly adverse events, such as nicotine poisoning may occur. Consult your doctor if you have a condition that may be affected by nicotine or the inhalation of vapor substances or if you are at risk of developing cardiovascular or respiratory disease, as e-cigarette vapor has been found to contain high levels of nanoparticles that can cause inflammation in the lungs and increase a user's risk of cardiovascular and respiratory disease. Also, some studies have shown that vapor produced at high levels (5.0V+) can produce one of the carcinogens known in cigarette smoke to increase lifetime risk of cancer.

Risk of nicotine poisoning is unlikely, but is increased with use of RDA and Subohm at higher nicotine levels. You should call your local emergency number (such as 911) or a local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222  if the following symptoms of nicotine poisoning are experienced : Abdominal cramps, Agitation, restlessness, or excitement, Muscular twitching, Breathing - rapid, Breathing - stops, Burning sensation in mouth, Coma, Confusion, Convulsions, Depression, Difficulty breathing, Drooling (increased salivation), Fainting, Headache, Heartbeat - pounding and rapid- followed by slow heart rate, High blood pressure- which then drops, Vomiting, and/or Weakness

INGREDIENTS: USP Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, USP Kosher Propylene Glycol, FDA Grade Natural & Artificial Flavors, Nicotine.

Adverse Event Reports to FDA

We (FDA) regularly receive voluntary reports of adverse events involving e-cigarettes from consumers, health professionals and concerned members of the public. The adverse events described in these reports have included hospitalization for illnesses such as:

  • pneumonia,

  • congestive heart failure,

  • disorientation,

  • seizure,

  • hypotension, and

  • other health problems.

Whether e-cigarettes caused these reported adverse events is unknown. Some of the adverse events could be related to a pre-existing medical condition or to other causes that were not reported to FDA. You can review the adverse event reports for e-cigarettes that were voluntarily reported to FDA from 6/22/2009 to 3/12/2014 at the CTP FOIA Electronic Reading Room.

HAZARD: Lithium batteries that are not used properly in Advanced Personal Vaporizers have been known to explode due to something called thermal runaway! Please be sure you are using the correct battery for your mod, correct amperage when charging your battery, and correct voltage/wattage range for your battery and coil resistance, and that you do not have multiple extended draws of more than 10 seconds. The correct use of each mod/battery/atomizer varies significantly. Information is available on the world wide web that can help you determine how to safely use your device.

Understanding the process of “thermal runaway” and what you can do to minimize the risk of e-cigarette mod explosions is essential for all vapers venturing into APV (Advanced Personal Vaporizer) territory.

APV Safety Precautions:

  • Thermal runaway is a positive feedback loop, in which lithium battery temperature increases and results in “venting with flames” or explosion.

  • It is very rare, and therefore unlikely to happen to you, but caution should still be exercised.

  • Use safer chemistry (lithium-manganese, like AW IMR) batteries and get a high-quality charger (preferably with protection against overcharging). Cutting costs increases risks.

  • Known e-cig mod explosions to date have involved tube mods (mechanical or basic mods, not variable voltage/variable wattage mods) usually with two batteries stacked for higher voltage; so don’t stack multiple batteries.

  • Ensure all metal tube mods have both electronic and physical safety features built in, such as vent holes and protective circuits.

  • Follow earlier advice to reduce the chance of shorts – don’t carry your e-cig mod in a pocket with keys, coins, or anything metallic it could short out with.

  • Be sure insulation on the battery is not damaged in any way and that the connections are not scratched.

  • Never leave your APV or battery in your car where it can be effected by heat or humidity.

  • If anything goes wrong with your mod (rapid increase in heat, swelling or venting of hot gas) get it away from yourself as quickly as possible and discard in location where persons or animals are not at risk.
